THE ROLE
Design engineering for facade & fenestration projects
The role combines drawing accuracy, technical documentation and project coordination to support fabrication, assembly and installation requirements.
Material take-offs & BOM
- Prepare material take-offs from project drawings.
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Support accurate material planning for fabrication.
Production coordination
- Prepare production-related drawings and documents.
- Coordinate with production for fabrication and assembly.
- Resolve drawing-related issues during execution.
Site & technical support
- Support site surveys and installation activities.
- Provide practical technical guidance when required.
- Coordinate internally on site or drawing issues.
Design review & coordination
- Participate in design review meetings and technical discussions.
- Coordinate with clients, architects and consultants.
- Keep documentation aligned with project requirements.
Technical skills that matter
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office.
- Knowledge of facade and fenestration systems.
- Ability to understand architectural and project drawings.
- Strong attention to drawing accuracy and documentation.
